Special Olympics Open 2007
The Special Olympics Cyprus Open took place on Sunday, June 10, 2007, at Secret Valley Golf Course.
The Special Olympics Cyprus Open is run every year by NGC and aims to financially support the efforts of Special Olympics Cyprus.
This hugely popular event attracted this year a field of 82 competitors exceeding last years field of 73. Prizes for both Men and Ladies as well as Longets Drive and Nearest to the Pin competitions were available to be won.
During the event golfers as well as spectators also took part in a putting competition with a token entry fee of usually £2 for a seperate Putting Competeition Trophy.

On the day 40 Special Olympics athletes assisted by volunteers from the American Academy, Limassol, who like every year, were once again sponsoring the event with the trophies, competed in a parallel golf event based on the rules of Golf as specially adapted by Special Olympics Inc.
This year's event generate £1700 for Special Olympics Cyprus.
For 2008 the event is scheduled to take place again at Secret Valley GC on May 11, 2008.
