Why was Nicosia Golf Club formed?

Nicosia Golf Club was formed by a small group of enthousiast in order to allow golfers from Nicosia to inexpensively belong to a club that organizes matches and competitions on a regular basis and have a recognised handicap administartion system. The distance of Nicosia to the nearest golf course makes it financially not viable for individuals to obtain membership and play in regular competitions, hence have their handicap administered by a Cyprus Golf Federation club.

Where do NGC members play their golf?

Most NGC members play their golf at Secret Valley Golf course and at Aphrodite Hills Golf Course. Vikla Golf Course is another ofthe courses used by some mebers. Other members also play at Nicosia International Club at the old Nicosia Airport grounds, which is run by the United Natiosn and has a small allowance of non-UN membership.

Does NGC have any future plans for training facilities in Nicosia?

Yes, we are currently in the process of planning and discussions with both the Municipality of Strovolos and KOA (Cyprus Sports Organisation) for the creation of a small driving range. Click here for new and updates regarding this project.
