NGC Driving Range

The need for a practice facility in the Nicosia region has long been recognized as of paramount importance if golf is to be successful in becoming an established sport in the capital and in Cyprus in general.

Nicosia Golf Club members in their attempt to fill this need have researched and found a suitable site for the construction of a Driving range within the Strovolos Municipal boundaries. Following a successful presentation to the Strovolos Municipal Council sub-committee last November, we have the Council's tentative support for the project and a feasibility study is now under way. With the full support of the Strovolos Mayor Mr. Iliofotou, we presented the idea to KOA President Mr. Titos Chrostofides and we received favourable comments as well.

The feasibility study is nearing completion and once completed will be submitted to KOA for approval. If successful, the project will be included in KOA's budget for the second half of 2006.
